Meet Sarah Ankney
Your Financial & Mindset Coach
Hi, I’m Sarah.
For most of my adult life, I’ve been fascinated by one question:
Why do some people feel confident with money while others constantly feel stressed by it?
Maybe it’s because I learned early how powerful financial decisions can be. At 20 years old, I filed for bankruptcy.
I wasn’t a financial coach. I wasn’t an accountant. I was simply a young adult making mistakes and learning lessons the hard way.
That experience could have become a permanent label. Instead, it became a turning point.
What I Discovered About Money
As I rebuilt my financial life, I started paying attention to the people around me—and noticed something that completely changed how I thought about money.
The people who made the most money weren’t always the people who felt financially secure.
I met people with impressive incomes who were stressed, living paycheck to paycheck, carrying debt, and wondering where all their money went. At the same time, I met people earning far less who felt calm, confident, and in control of their finances.
That’s when I realized something important:
Financial security isn’t created by income alone. It’s created by habits, systems, and intentional decisions repeated over time.
That realization sparked a lifelong interest in personal finance and eventually led me into accounting, investing, financial coaching, and helping others create a healthier relationship with money.
Why I Help Others Build Financial Confidence
Today, at 45, I have a seven-figure net worth, own investment real estate, and have spent more than a decade working in accounting and finance. Now, I help women and solopreneurs build financial confidence of their own.
But what matters most isn’t where I ended up. It’s that I’ve seen both sides.
I’ve made mistakes. I’ve rebuilt. And I’ve spent the last 25 years learning what actually creates lasting financial peace.
